Aces (the former AES) sessions are held twice every month on the second Saturday and on the fourth Sunday at 3-318 (on the thrid floor) in the Building 3 of Faculty of Education and Human Studies, Akita University between 10.00 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. ACES stands for Akita Communicative English Studies.

YAMAYA is a chain supermarket selling lots of imported foods and alcohol. If you are a fan of baked beans or any other kind of canned beans like the French ones this is the shop to visit. The prices are very reasonable the shop's layout is very easy and the staff are helpful. Well worth a visit, you may find the thing you miss eating most whilst away from your own home country.
